About Caroline
I have always been fascinated by the human body, how it moves, adapts, protects, and heals. My journey into health and wellbeing began over two decades ago, first qualifying as a nurse in 2002. Over time, my curiosity deepened beyond symptoms and diagnoses, drawing me toward a more whole-person, compassionate approach to care. Today, I work as a Wellbeing & Chronic Pain Recovery Specialist, supporting people living with persistent pain, anxiety, and stress to reconnect with safety in their bodies and move with greater ease. |
My Story
Alongside my professional training, my work is shaped by lived experience.
In my late 30s and early 40s, I experienced chronic lower back pain. During that time, I was offered medication and invasive treatment options, yet no explanation about the nervous system or pain itself. It wasn’t until I discovered neuroscience-informed pain education, breath work, and somatic approaches that lasting change became possible.
This personal journey fundamentally changed how I understand pain, not as something broken, but as a protective system that can become over-active. That understanding now underpins everything I offer.

Professional Background
Before establishing my independent practice, Move with Ease, I worked as a Community Learning Disability Nurse, supporting individuals and families to improve quality of life and wellbeing.
This role shaped my person-centred, trauma-informed approach, where listening, pacing, and safety are as important as any technique.

How I Work
Rather than applying one fixed method, I tailor sessions to you.
My approach blends:
* Clinical sports massage
* Fascial and movement-based practices
* Breath retraining
* Pain reprocessing and nervous system regulation
* Mindfulness and somatic awareness
All sessions are grounded in safety, consent, education, and empowerment.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside of my professional work, I’m a wife, a mother of three, and the proud owner of Lola, our Tibetan Terrier.
Movement is a constant in my life — walking, running, swimming, yoga, and strength training — alongside cold water therapy, meditation, and reading. These practices keep me grounded and continue to inform how I support others.
A Gentle Invitation
If you’re living with chronic pain, tension, anxiety, or stress — and you’re ready to explore a calmer, more informed way forward — you’re very welcome here.
