Experience a unique yoga class that blends traditional yoga postures (asanas) with the transformative approach of FAMO Fascial Movement®, a contemporary movement method that enhances your body's natural strength, mobility, and adaptability. Trained in this innovative repertoire, I integrate intelligent fascial exercises into your yoga practice, cleverly adapting familiar poses to encourage positive, lasting changes in your body. As a clinical sports massage therapist I also incorporate self-massage techniques using soft massage balls. These techniques help to rehydrate your connective tissue while promoting glide between and around muscles and joints, leaving your body feeling more supple and free in movement. It wouldn’t be a yoga class without relaxation, breathing, and meditation practices. As a breathing coach trained in the Buteyko and Oxygen Advantage both practices emphasise nasal breathing, encouraging you to inhale and exhale through the nose to filter, warm, and humidify the air while promoting diaphragmatic (deep) breathing. Together, these practices aim to improve oxygen utilization and overall respiratory health.
