YogaI am very proud to have earned my yoga diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga and have been teaching since 2004! My classes are a blend of traditional yoga eastern practices with western contemporary movement. During your yoga class, you will be guided into yoga postures that aim to build strength and stamina, improve muscle tone, increase muscular and joint flexibility and enhance postural alignment. Other benefits include a greater self-awareness, emotional balance, improved concentration and increased ability to relax & switch off.
I am trained in the contemporary movement repertoire of Slings Myofascial Training® which utilises the qualities of our global fascial body network in its intelligent exercises. You will recognise many yoga and pilates postures/exercises cleverly adapted to encourage positive changes within the body. These positive changes enable you to be more physically adaptable as you go about your day to day activities. |
As a clinical & sports massage therapist I also include self-massage techniques using soft massage balls. This technique helps to rehydrate the connective tissue whilst promoting glide between and around muscles & joints.
It wouldn't be a yoga class without relaxation, breathing and meditation practices. Traditional pranayama (breathing practices) are taught and adapted for better functional breathing with Butekyo® breathing techniques. If the words low, slow and deep resonate then this practice is perfect for you! If you'd like to hear more about my blended practice then reach out to me, Caroline, I'd be happy to chat with you. |
